Things have been interesting on the AOS front. I finally got him in to see a cardiologist and his heart is healthy and normal :) Since surgery in March the small veins in his face and eyes have been visible off and on. They are more on than off these days, and he's taken on a blue tinge around his mouth a couple of times. The cardiologist said it was vein related and not heart related and veins are not her job. So...I guess I'll talk to his pediatrician about who to see about the veins. His neck is still popping and causing pain. I think all of the doctors are hoping it just goes away, because nobody knows what to make of it.
His feet, or rather his left foot, continues to get more unusual. The nails are changing, getting thinner and smaller, the 2 smallest toes don't appear to be growing at the same rate (which is slllooowww) as the others, and the whole foot is now smaller than the right foot. Oh, and his big toe has this odd...line on the end of it that is making the end of his toe something other than round. When he was a baby his toes were so small and round. They looked like little peas sitting on the ends of his feet, and though they've grown, until recently his big toes were always very round (and super cute).
Getting pictures of Zay's feet is not unlike trying to stuff a greased pig into a wet paper bag at 100 miles per hour. But, Claire felt up to the task and she and I (and at one point Lane) managed to get a few pictures. None of them are very good, and he was moving so much that I couldn't get a picture of the end of his big toe. Claire had the brilliant idea to take a video instead, and I think you can get the idea from that. Both feet are continuing to get thicker, but we all died of exhaustion before I could get good side pictures.
Edit: I guess I have video fail. I tried twice to get it to upload, but I can't get it to play. Let's try this instead:
